To 2019!

"We should never assume that what we perceive as a long period of God's silence in our lives means that He has forgotten His promises to us or isn't aware of us, or has lost interest in us. For as daunting as it can be it seems that an extended period of heavenly silence is invariably a major ingredient of God's preparation process; His preparation of US. For whatever His divine purposes for us might be... they WILL include periods of divine silence"

Maybe there are some things you hoped you'd leave in the archives of 2018 but have had to carry into 2019. Maybe, some of these things, you have put at the top of your must achieve/accomplish list every year for the past many many years. Maybe, you've wondered if you should just "chill" thinking about ever realizing some of your plans, hopes and dreams. Maybe it's an area of growth (in character) in your life that has seemingly insisted on being quite stunted no matter how much you've tried to water and mulch. Or maybe it is a stunted projected you've been working on since ... you don't remember when. Maybe, you walked into the new year thinking, "...but God you seem silent!"

You are tempted to leave your position, to move - to look for other options (as if there are any), to leave your station, that place that keeps you prepared to receive.. worse still tempted to throw in the towel or settle for whatever... DON'T!

This year, may you be strengthened and filled with a new hope, faith and TRUST and confidence in the one who is limited by nothing... He keeps His promises, He knows what's best for us, He knows us better than we know ourselves. He is love. In Him there is no darkness at all.

Habakkuk 2:3

"For the vision is yet for an appointed time;

But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie.

Though it tarries, wait for it;

Because it will surely come,

It will not tarry."

Keep in your position. Yield to the preparation process. When opportunity strikes, you'll be ready.

God hasn't forgotten His promise(s) to you. Wait for it! It will come to you... probably when you least expect it, maybe even suddenly!

Wishing you all a blessed and prosperous 2019!
